History

J.R. Nisbit and W.B. Simons started Control Southeast, Inc. in 1962 by separating from Carolina Controls Company to fabricate flexible metal hose assemblies and repair regulators.  They called this new organization Controls Southeast, Inc.   In 1993, Fred Stubblefield, Jr. separated the valve remanufacturing division from Controls Southeast, Inc. and called this organization Southeast Valve, Inc.

Controls Southeast, Inc. and Southeast Valve, Inc. exist as two separate corporations but share Family Ownership, Physical Facilities, Craft Personnel and Professional Staff. Much of our growth resulted from development and marketing of custom fabrication, welding, machining and valve remanufacturing.

Our engineering capabilities and quality products expanded our abilities to many different industries including Refineries, Utilities, Chemical, Textile Fiber and Dyeing, Pulp and Paper Firms. As we grow, our major objectives are to continue to produce quality products, add new products and services for our customers, and to provide a profitable and stable organization for the benefit of our employees.
