History

J.R. Nisbit and W.B. Simons started Controls Southeast, Inc. in 1962 by separating from Carolina Controls Company to fabricate flexible metal hose assemblies and repair regulators. They called this new organization Controls Southeast, Inc. In 1993, Larry W. Ballard and Fred Stubblefield, Jr. separated the valve remanufacturing division from Controls Southeast, Inc. and called this new organization Southeast Valve, Inc.

Controls Southeast, Inc. and Southeast Valve, Inc. exist as two separate corporations and facilities but share Family Ownership, Craft Personnel and Professional Staff. Much of our growth resulted from development and marketing of custom fabrication, welding, machining and valve remanufacturing.

Our engineering capabilities and quality products expanded our abilities to many different industries including Refineries, Utilities, Chemical, Pulp and Paper, Textile Fiber and Dyeing facilities. As we grow, our major objectives are to continue to provide quality services and products, add new products and services for our customers, and to provide a profitable and stable organization for the benefit of our employees and their families.
